The USS Battleship North Carolina, located on Eagle Island in the Cape Fear River across from downtown Wilmington  is  a National Historic Landmark. In excellent condition, and still retaining all of her World War II integrity, the ship is essentially the same as it was when the war ended.

  1. This is wonderful. So well maintained – it looks like it is part of the fleet! And the reflection in the puddle is perfect.

    Oh, and I love the red accent! Nice car.

  2. Ginger: This photo is enough to make me want to pack my bags and head east. I can still see the Fourth of July fireworks exploding over this battleship. Beautiful!!
