Happy Thanksgiving

A poem by Gladys Green Parker:

We will celebrate Thanksgiving
In the old fashioned way.
But always on our minds
Is that September day.
When those in the towers
Lost lives in vain
And many were lost
In the hi-jacked planes.

We’ll gather once more
With family and friends
And pray that war
Will come to an end.
We know that God
Will take care of all
For, even little birds
He knows when they fall.

Thanksgiving in November
Is a day that’s set aside
For all to remember
How our needs are supplied.
A day for togetherness
And thanking God above
For His ever tender mercies
And never ending love.
