Leaves

A poem written by Gladys Green Parker in November 2000:

I looked through my window
And oh! what a sight.
Tree leaves were fluttering
Like birds on a flight.

The wind was blowing
That I could see.
But knew not how cold
Until it touched me.

Leaves were swirling
All over the ground;
A colorful blanket
Red, gold and brown.

On the ground lay
Last summer’s shade.
A beautiful scene
Our Creator made.

  3. Ah, that’s the thing, isn’t it? Fallen leaves are beautiful on a sunny day, but when that autumn wind bites, it makes you want to view them through a window!
