This is a picture of Figure Eight island, taken from a boat in the sound waters.

Figure Eight Island is a very exclusive and private island, just north of  Wrightsville Beach, NC, that is accessible only by boat, or a guarded causeway bridge. There are approximately 441 magnificent private residences built on the island, and no commercial buildings. It has been featured as a filming location for “Dawson’s Creek” TV show, and is a popular destination for celebrities and politicians.
