Sails Over Blue Water

Yesterday a catamaran capsized off the coast of Wrightsville Beach, about a mile and a half out to sea from Johnny Mercer’s Pier. Thanks to the foresight of the boaters, a cell phone was packed inside a zip lock bag, allowing them to place a call to the U.S. Coast Guard. The two men were rescued and neither man was injured.

This photo of a few sailboats on the amazing blue water of Wrightsville Beach was taken on Saturday, a busy day for sailing. It was chosen for Blue Monday.
